Good real estate accountant in Seattle area

Does anyone know of a good RE accountant in the Seattle area? We currently have single family properties in Des Moines & Enumclaw but are looking to add properties in TN & OH.

The great thing is that you live within Washington State which does not have a state income tax.
You may be required to file a non-resident return with Ohio and Iowa. You won't have to file a state tax return with Tennessee as they don't tax rental income.

You likely want to work with a CPA who understands the different state tax laws.

    I recommend finding an accountant who specializes in real estate taxation over one that is local. 

    Are you comfortable working with your CPA remotely? If so, there are 20+ accountants on this site that specialize in real estate taxation. 

    Check the forums, reach out to a few and see who you connect with.

    Hey @Jay Decker,

    I have three rentals (two are out-of-state in the Ohio, and the other in Spokane). I’m also self-employed in another non-related industry.

    I’ve used Aldaris CPA for my taxes for the last 4 years – they’re awesome and local in West Seattle.

    He also takes care of my bookkeeping and taxes for both my real estate business and other business.

    I used another CPA before him, but Edwin helped advise me on the best entity structures for both my real estate and business to minimize my taxes, which my previous CPA did not do.
