The $60 service is what I would additionally charge each guest in addition to the nightly rate.
I am factoring additional cleaning and services fees to my income. Then deducting the expense (what I would actually pay for the cleaning) after collecting the fees as income from the guests.

Ok, I understand the cleaning fee side of this. We charge our guests a $175 cleaning fee per booking and $150 goes immediately to our cleaner per turnover and we save the $25 per turnover to go towards a deep clean bi-monthly so the cleaner eventually gets all of the $175 cleaning fee.
I don't understand why you would charge an additional $60 per guest in addition to the nightly rate and cleaning fee. Please advise?
In an effort to keep things simple and stay competitive, I would not charge an additional service fee unless the service fee is for a feature that would make your property stand out from others.
The rate seems low.... what type of property is this? gas is low if you have a pool.....mine was $2300 last month in Palm Springs. What is the add'l fees?
Are you making $ on cleaning fees? I don't see that. I have a much better spreadsheet for STR's if you want, just DM me.

I mistyped, its not $60 for each guest its $60 for each "guest stay". So an additional $120 each time a guest books a stay.
It's no wonder why the Joshua Tree area has become increasingly saturated with Real Estate development. With its beautiful desert scenery and close proximity to Los Angeles, it is an attractive destination for many people. Unfortunately, this growth in Real Estate activity could be leading to increased traffic and other negative effects on the environment. It's important that we take steps to ensure that the natural beauty of this area is preserved while still allowing for healthy economic growth. Otherwise, this beloved landscape could be left irreversibly changed.
