Here is a map of the City of Las Vegas where they are ok for now with a business license... Also, North Las Vegas has no restriction as of yet. With any short term rentals you always should have another exit strategy (i.e. corporate rentals) just in case something changes.

    Not surprising. The casinos is what brings people to Las Vegas and they have hotels included. So, I'm sure they have the power to put pressure on the city to nip this in the bud.

    I have a house that will be a short term rental in Vegas. Yes the county regulations do not permit it. If your house is in the City zoning rather than the county you are ok. Do need to have a business license.

    They have been cracking down on these for the last few months. Good source of listings for us! Mostly out of town investors that didn't know the rules or knew them and ignored them. Working on a $480k listing now that fits this scenario.
