Davenport/Orlando new build Short term rentals

I am looking for short term rentals in the Orlando area. So far I have looked at new builds like the Azur resorts, the Windsor resort and Solara. I do like the Azur resorts but looking for feedback from folks in the area and experts if this makes sense as a str. I am located in Canada so any advice that steers me in the right direction is welcome.

@Ryan Moyer as you know I don't recommend using any management company at all. Self management is the only way to maximize cash flow.

    I believe Azur requires you to use Vacasa management. Nothing necessarily wrong with Vacasa, but I try to steer clear of HOA's that force any ONE manager. If you don't have options and the forced manager is not performing, you have no leverage to fire them.

    @Avery Carl thank you ! That’s something I will have to look into. Do you have any you recommend and have you see the Orlando area be profitable for str ?

    Our place in Champions Gate was managed by Vacasa prior to us purchasing it and it was a neglected dump with terrible reviews after Vacasa was done with it.  I know Vacasa is a huge company with various offices all across the country but Azur is literally right next door to the place we bought so I would assume anyone there is getting the same team that managed our place prior to our purchase and I would not wish that team on my worst enemy.  You'd basically be paying them to wreck your place.

    Agreed on managing your property for maximum returns however being far away in Canada that wouldn’t be an option for me. Anyone PM companies recommended in that area ?
