Ive been thinking a lot into getting involved with real state investment but im not sure where to start i have the basic idea read a few books but im more of a hands on person im looking for a mentor to work with

@Brian Perez, I see you are in Orlando. I would definitely look into joing the local chapter of the National REIA (CFRI=Central Florida Realty Investors). There are almost two dozens meetings a month on all things RE investing with sub groups on specific niches and then some members even have their own meet ups. You will be able to even find mentors there if you want. The Monthly general meeting is coming up soon.
What are you looking to do? Flip, buy and hold, tax deeds, notes, private lender....?

Welcome to the community! I would recommend finding a couple REI meetups and attending. Great way to network and learn. Should be plenty in the Orlando area. Good luck!

Welcome to BP Brian! You can sort of think of this community as one of your mentors. Tons of great info and people willing to provide advice. Other than that, go find a local meetup and start developing relationships with local investors. Find a way to add value to them, such as offering to do tasks that they don’t want or have the time to do. It might also help to really think about what kind of investing you want to do. For me, I’m trying to find a duplex to house hack so that I can reduce my living expenses and sort of ease into this game. That kind of info can help your mentor point you in more specific directions.

Im interested into the wholesale and fix and flip but im open to what ever works for me best and see what my strongest areas are

@Brian Perez Orlando REI is another local group that you should look into. Try to always share with everyone what you are looking to do and try to be as specific as possible. Sometimes it may just be better to pick one niche and go for it. Find the market where that niche works. You can always pivot later. It may be harder for you if you are looking at everything. Hope this helps.
