Hello BP community my name is Alonzo Rodolfo Trujillo. I am new to the BP community and would like to connect with real estate investors! I am getting back into real estate and would like to connect with people that could help me start my journey. I have been listening to many BP podcasts and reading books about real estate and I came to conclusion that this is the right place for me to be! I was recommended to BiggerPockets and It is great to be on here and I am super happy to be able to connect with the amazing BP family!

I did the same thing! The BP REI podcast is seriously one of the best podcasts I've ever heard. Reading and absorbing as much as you can is great! Don't leave out networking whether its in Zoom meet ups or in person! Find a local REIA or online community that talks to each other and just keep showing up!

Hey Alonzo, I'd recommend starting by building genuine relationships with local investors and agents in the markets you're most interested in. Start analyzing deals regularly, even if you're not ready to buy yet. Learn what a good deal actually looks like. If you share which market you're targeting or what strategy (BRRRR, flips, rentals, etc.) you're leaning toward, I or others here can give you more specific insights.

It depends on the phase you are in. If new and starting out I'd look at
Using Creative Financing To Buy "Off Market" with "Subject To" and "Wraps"

Love the mindset you’re coming in with! Studying, learning, and taking action by putting yourself in the right rooms. That’s how success starts in this space.

If I can offer one piece of direction early on:
BRRR - "Build Relationships, Root Resilience"
The right relationships will move you farther than any podcast ever could.

What area of real estate are you feeling pulled toward first? Flips? Creative finance? Buy-and-hold? Once you know your initial lane, the path gets much clearer and the right teammates show up fast.

Glad you’re here, brother — stay consistent and keep your purpose in front of you. The journey’s just getting started.
