Hey everyone, new here and excited to learn
Hey all, I'm Dax. I'm 19 and just getting started on my real estate investing journey. I don't have any deals under my belt yet, so I'm here mainly to learn from people who've actually done this and figure out what path makes the most sense for me. Right now I'm weighing house hacking, wholesaling, and buy and hold, so if you've got experience with any of those and don't mind sharing what worked or didn't, I'd love to hear it.
A little about me outside of investing. I own a company called Atkins Pavement Solutions. We do sealcoating, asphalt paving, crackfilling, and linestriping. I started the business young and built it up myself, and it's taught me a lot about running numbers, managing people, and playing the long game, which I'm hoping translates well into real estate.
I know being 19 with no deals yet probably puts me on the younger side here, but I'd rather start now and learn from people who've been doing this for years than wait around. So if you've got advice, war stories, mistakes to avoid, or just want to talk shop, I'm all ears.
Also, if any of you are investors with parking lots or commercial properties that need paving or maintenance work down the line, happy to help out. But mostly I'm just here to learn and connect with good people.
Looking forward to being part of this community. Appreciate any advice you've got.
