What is the buzz around there (N.D.) these days? Still a lot of workers and not enough housing? Since you are living it, do you feel the Williston & Watford area will be doing well economically in the next 10 to 20 years?
Not enough workers and not enough housing but they are building away. I do see houses for sale in Williston not cheap. It is crazy up here. My company is Kitchens by Hand inc. I used to Remodel Kitchens I have been checking wages for finish carpenters but I make more money driving truck hauling oil. Highest rents in the country. The talk radio station said the mayor of Williston talked about rent control but I think they said its against the state constitution.
I was reading the paper today called the Booming Basin it sounds like this boom will be going on for a long time. It says there are 10,114 producing wells right now at 951340 barrels a day. It says there will be 40,000 more wells in the future.
I got a new job, I will be hauling oil out of Beulah ND, and it pays housing so I think I will rent for 6 months save up enough for a cheap house buy it and maybe rent out rooms or the basement. I would like to find a duplex or 4 plex.
