Hey everyone! I’m a local real estate investor and licensed agent based in Central New Hampshire, and I’m looking to connect with like-minded folks to trade business, share resources, and grow our teams. As an investor managing my own modest portfolio right now, and an agent working directly with other investor buyers and sellers, I’m constantly in need of reliable local tradespeople; contractors, electricians, plumbers, handymen, and others who value direct client referrals. Real estate investing is entirely a team sport and I'm focused on building my team before I'm in desperate need. I want to be able to confidently have a plumber that I trust and can refer before the bathroom is flooded... who can relate? Whether you’re the one swinging a hammer or analyzing deals (in or out of NH), I'd love to chat about how we can pass business back and forth. Thanks! And good to meet you!
Bianca, love the idea of building a reliable referral network. Do you have a website for your real estate business yet? I build sites for small businesses and investors and thought it might fit well with what you’re putting together.

Couldn’t agree more, real estate really is a team sport, especially when you’re investing out of state. I work closely in the Midwest markets and have built relationships with investor-friendly lenders, property managers, contractors, and other local vendors. The Midwest is worth keeping on the radar too, and I’m always open to connecting with other investors and swapping resources.

One of the best ways to find contractors is to stop by a house they are working on. Have them walk you around while you gather information. Look at the quality of the work. If you can see how they work before you try to hire them, you are ahead of the game.
@Bianca Barcelos Welcome! I completely agree, having the right team in place before you need them makes a huge difference.
I’d be happy to connect and be a resource on the lending side as well. If you or your investor clients come across a deal that needs financing, feel free to reach out and we can explore some lending options.
Love the approach of building your team before you actually need them! Having reliable tradespeople in your corner can make such a difference when things inevitably pop up. Wishing you lots of success building those connections!

@Bianca Barcelos, I can definitely relate to the idea of building your team before you’re in desperate need of someone. I’d add a real estate attorney to that list too. It’s much easier to already know who you can call when a contract, title, tenant, or ownership question comes up than to start looking for someone in the middle of a problem.
I’ve worked with investors who first reached out after something had already become complicated, and I’ve also worked with people who brought me in early to look at an issue before it grew. The second situation is usually a much better place to be. Having trusted people around you who already understand real estate can make a big difference.
I like the way you’re approaching this, @Bianca Barcelos. Real estate really is a team business, and building those relationships is a big part of the work I do with investors too. I’m based in Maryland, but I’m always happy to connect with other investors and real estate professionals and exchange resources when it makes sense.
Thanks so much for your reply! I think this is so important to understand for anyone. I am quite "Type A" so I do like to think ahead and be prepared, but for anyone who has ever dealt with a broken fridge, a leaky pipe, or heat that doesn't turn on on the first cold day of the Fall/Winter... you know, it's easier to have someone in your back pocket to avoid the stress (and the quotes and the research and the potential over-paying). It's so important to build good relationships with fair, professional, trades people.
