Hello Everyone,
I am DeLisa Lovett and I currently reside in Minnesota. I am interested in real estate investing because its a great way to earn wealth quickly. As a newbie, I love watching the tv shows "Flip or Flop", "Miami Flip", and several others. I'm ready to get started. I'm flexible, knowledgeable, and resourceful.... yet always willing to learn more!
I am open to all aspects of the business: Wholesaling, Flipping, Lease-Options, and Commercial! So, let's work together in having "Bigger Pockets"! Thanks in advance for your help and camaraderie....it is appreciated!

There's a million ways to get it, choose one.
My pathway was becoming a mentee, and it is great. I have learned a lot more in the past month and a half than I have in all of my years of traditional schooling.
I found my mentor through BP as well, but you may meet one at your local Real Estate Investors Association (REIA). So get out there and network with members on the internet and real life!

Beware those TV shows - many of them are made up or enhanced versions of reality. To truly be successful, turn OFF the TV and get your butt out there and into action mode. :) TV is fine for a bit of escaping reality but I wouldn't use anything I saw on "reality" shows to formulate my business. They are selling advertising by attracting viewers through made up scenarios. Purely for escapist entertainment in my humble (and I know one of the "stars" of MDL - NY) opinion.

Welcome to Bigger Pockets. I discovered BP a while ago but didn't really get involved until recently. I'm sorry I waited so long to "plug in". BP is an awesome resource.
I am a cash flow investor. I have been a landlord since 1982 and I have also flipped a fair numbers of homes over the years.
A couple of years ago I discovered the "paper" side of the real estate investment world. I purchased my first Mortgage Note. I have been actively acquiring Notes for passive cash flow since that time.
I like the the passive nature, the safety and the cash flow that I receive from Performing Mortgage Notes. I still own "brick & mortar" real estate but my end game is to be 100% in paper at some point.

I love your enthusiasm! You have become part of a wonderful team that is fueled with an abundance of knowledge, and a bit of humor too. The advice and direction you will receive from professionals and novices is simply fantastic.
Choose a specific type of strategy and really immerse yourself. If you like fix and flip, choose that niche and learn as much as possible. I've found that you will never know everything you need to, so there will come a time you have to take a leap of faith. Seeking a mentor is a great idea. Bigger pockets is a terrific platform to seek advice and listen to pros.

Bigger Pockets is by far the most extensive website about real estate.... it covers EVERYTHING real estate: Residential, Multifamily, Commercial, and MOBILE HOMES!
Seriously.... this is the website to be in/or..... if your in real estate!
