Hello. We're owners of a single family home in the Madison, AL market that is currently occupied.  We're in the military so we had to put the house up when we PCS'ed.  I'm interested in learning how to invest in real estate as part of my road to financial freedom.

    We're planning to move to Virginia too in the Norfolk/VB area. We are also interested in investing, specifically multifamily units. This will be our first investment so hopefully we can soon join everyone else here who has been successful.  We need as much guidance as we can! Any input would be appreciated.

    Welcome to Biggerpockets!

    My husband is active duty military and we got started this way. We bought a houses that makes sense at every duty station and rented it out when we left. We self manage these houses all of the country as we move around. While it has had many moments, it's been very financially beneficial.
