New to Real Estate and currently overwhelmed lol.

I have always had an interest in Real Estate, mainly flipping and selling and owning rental properties. I'm sure like all of the newbies to BP I'm a little overwhelmed with where to start. I'm starting to get together a library of real estate books to learn all that I can in my free time. I'm not sure which road to take or what niche is for me. I'm leaning towards wholesale just to get started and have some money coming in from real Estate. I'm fixing to start classes soon to get my Real Estate license as well. Looking forward to talking to and getting to know members of BP.

The best thing you can do when first starting out is network! Consider checking out your local REIA meetings and teaming up with a mentor to help you get some skin in the game.

I feel overwhelmed as well. It's almost as if I'm pressing the brake so it doesn't (the process) go to fast. It's almost as if I'm finding things to delay it.

@John O'Leary Thanks for the advice. I actually signed up for a local REIA yesterday after reading something on here about that. I'm planning to go to their next meeting. I have no idea what to do or say to find a mentor though lol. Like Antonio said in a comment, I put the brakes on sometimes when I feel overwhelmed.
@Antonio Artusa I could't agree more! I'm constantly pumping the brakes, probably the reason why I just found out about this site instead of finding it years ago.
@Franklin Romine I'm definitely learning. Reading was never something I liked to do but I've found a new love for it, I guess because I'm really interested in the material.
