Hello Everyone.
My name is Rene Picanes Jr. I am an investor from the Dallas/Fort Worth area. I have been in real estate since 2013 in several Florida and Texas markets. I have worked as a property manager, wholesaler, investor, and most recently as a note investor. I am currently working as a Real Estate Consultant for a wholesale and fix-and-flip firm in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Last year I started my own investment company with the goal of buying residential and commercial real estate through non-performing notes to build a portfolio of short and long term investments.
I look forward to communicating with fellow investors, lenders, and asset managers as I develop a network of contacts across the country. I have learned a lot through my experiences, my education, and my research but I still have plenty to learn. BP has plenty to offer and I really look forward to being a part of the community.

Hello and welcome to BP! It sounds like you got it together. I am59 years old and I found BP about 6 months ago and I am still trying to decide what to do. Right now I am leaning towards tax certificates and tax deeds, Fix and Flip, as well as Buy and Hold. I am trying to find something that I can do part time. You can always learn. The more you learn the less major mistakes you will make. Since I am still stuck at home I am learning a bunch. I was born and raised in Dallas Texas. I still live in northwestern Dallas County. My wife, who is a computer programmer, has been saving money for about 25 years. I got a college education in business with an emphasis on real estate. The same year I graduated, in 1980, I got a broker license. My father has been in real estate for about 40 years and I have learned a little bit from him.
