Greetings Real Estate Pros!

My name is D'Aydra but Dee is fine. My husband and I own Allenique Investments, LLC and currently do business as ECA DuctWorks, a full service HVAC company. We are interested in finally getting our feet wet in real estate investing and are looking for a way in!

I will admit that I am a bit nervous to dive right in but I do know that, just like anything else worth my time and energy, it's going to require a leap! We dove into our HVAC business and luckily we've done nothing but grow over the last year. I believe, if we go about things right, we'll do the same when it comes to investing.

I am interested in learning as much as I can, honestly. I am particularly interested in learning creative ways around money and credit right now until I'm prepared for large financial investments or loans that rely on personal credit. I can see ECA DuctWorks investing time and materials in exchange for light returns after sales. I would love to connect with some hard money lenders as well, I hear that this lending avenue would be a great way in the door. And believe it or not, I recently had a dream in which I walked through the wholesale process step-by-step, and came out with a pretty nice commission (I had always wondered exactly how the process worked)... so getting into wholesales would be pretty cool too!

Oh, before I forget, I am also an engineering student with over 7 years of construction related experience. I've been an Estimator and Assistant PM for a GC, performed take off for a large government construction management firm, conducted design reviews on behalf of the government, and I am an Architectural & Civil Drafter by trade. I believe Allenique Investments has a lot to offer in addition to all that we're interested in learning and gaining.

Please feel free to contact me! I would love to find ways to work with new people on anything related to real estate and investing!

@D'Aydra Allen Welcome to Bigger Pockets! I love your construction background, I'm a PE for a large general contractor, and so much of what I do for work translates to real estate. You are in the right place!

    Hi @Julie Marquez!

Thanks for the welcome. Is your background in Civil Engineering?

Construction management degree, but my project engineer title has more to do with project management than engineering. What are your real estate goal? Wholesaling or rentals? I bet you'd be good at flip projects too!

@Julie Marquez - I just started reading your blog, I should have done that before asking... I have been trying to finish this darn Civil degree since forever and kinda want to just go the CM route but have no idea what to do! Anywho...

    My goals:

    1. Rental property is our (my husband & I) long-term goal - I know that this may need to come later than sooner because of the capital and credit required for most deals but I am open to figuring ways around it. I'd like to have a nice stream of income from rentals in 10+ years in addition to our other business.

    2. Flipping - This really excites me and I want to get into this ASAP however possible! I love construction and architecture and could see myself loving this type of investing as well.

    3. Wholesaling is an option not necessarily a goal - I am VERY curious about how this actually happens... :-)
