My name is Bjorn Ahlblad from Shelton, Wa. I retired and moved here from Silicon Valley, California about two years ago. I have since bought two duplexes in Olympia and a 12 unit apartment building in Aberdeen. Last year my wife quit her job in California and now lives here too; she manages the apartment building and the duplexes are professionally managed for now.
We would like to add another 4-6 units; but good deals are tough to find in this market. We are buy and hold investors looking for cash flow-I am not qualified to be a cashier at Wall Mart!
We joined BP to hone our investing skills and hang out with like minded folks-there is not another site quite like this one!
Hi @Bjorn Ahlblad Welcome to the site. I also have a couple properties in Shelton (and Olympia area). There is a meet up this Monday in Olympia hosted by @Naomi Pinger. Its a good place to connect with other likeminded folks if you can make it!

@Bjorn Ahlblad, I would like to welcome you to BP also and yes we are having our investors meeting (this month only) on Monday the 19th of Feb. For the next three months it will be back to the third Tuesday of the month. You are more than welcome to join us at the meeting. I would also suggest you stay in contact with Curtis because he if very knowledgeable and helpful with RE investing.

Hi Bjorn, I saw your post about expanding your portfolio with another 4–6 units in Western Washington and wanted to connect. I work with clients on the Property Management side of things and am always looking to grow my network. Since you mentioned your duplexes are currently professionally managed, are you considering continuing with professional management as you scale, or do you see yourselves taking on more of the management directly like with your 12-unit in Aberdeen?
