Newbie from the Space Coast (FL)

Hi guys! Newbie to the investing world. I bought my (first) house in 2016, a 4/3 single family residence in Indian Harbour Beach. It has great bones - the seller owned the house for 47 years and took good care of it. However, she had a love for wallpaper and the color pink.

The house style is actually unique in this area (though not in the northeast), a tri-level. I hadn't planned on this being my forever home, but I'm actually coming to love the layout more and more as I live here - it's just so versatile. The main level has the kitchen/dining/living room. Upstairs has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms (one of those being a master). Downstairs has 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, and a large den. I live in the bedroom downstairs, rent out the 3 bedrooms upstairs, and plan on converting the den to a suite-like room to airBnB when I get some free time - mostly just needs some paint and furniture. The rent from the 3 rooms more than covers my mortgage and utilities.

I actually had not planned any of this when I first bought the house, but I knew I wanted to renovate the house and not take out another loan, so I went the roommate route, and I'm so glad I did! Renovations and renting rooms is really what led me in the direction of investing (albeit a slow, windy one). Not sure on whether I want to rent it out or sell it when I'm done renovating, so that's part of the reason why I'm here - to learn about the different real estate investing strategies.

I'm also here to connect with others in my area - from the little I've been able to dig up on BP, the space coast is a difficult area to find good deals.

So, anyone a space coast local?
