Newbie in the Real Estate Investing Game

Hello to everyone on BP. I'm excited to start a new venture in real estate investing. I'm looking to purchase a small multi-family in north San Diego county for my first BRRRR. I have part of the financing myself but could use help for the rest. I also need help in finding the right deal. Any ideas? Thanks.

    Welcome fellow newbie. I would suggest setting keyword alerts on BRRRR and creative financing in your area and see what pops up. The articles and posts here are super informative, but quite numerous. Going through them page by page can become taxing. The keyword alert will ding you and you can jump into the conversation being had at that moment. I get a couple a day and it always pertains to my interests.

    hi @Lon Sierra, welcome!  most deals are on the mls, deals are usually made as opposed to obvious ones that stand out and price way below market value.  Make sure to work with the right lenders and get your financing in order, all the different financing options that were available a few weeks ago are not necessarily available now.

    @Twana Rasoul hey thanks for the advice regarding having financing lined up completely. I know our world is changing rapidly and getting financing will prove more challenging in the near future. Thanks again

    Welcome to the group!

    I’m new here also. I have found doing the webinars and using all the free material here at BP has been super helpful and motivating!

    Before you do your first deal definitely use the BP calculators!! They have helped me fine tune what I think is a good deal. You only get 5 uses so it was worth it for me to upgrade to pro. Just use one of the webinar codes and try and get the discount and a bunch of free stuff!!
