Finally convinced by more than one friend (and slowly starting to get past my existential fear of debt), I am starting out in the world of real estate investing and excited to learn as much as possible from BP's resources/forums.

I am a project manager for the library here in Columbus (after working in the fashion industry for over a decade in NYC) and looking at real estate for financial growth and independence for me and my family. Also, I love The Decemberists.

    You are living proof as to why investing in areas like Columbus is a smart move in the  foreseeable future.  High cost of living in coastal markets is causing an influx of millennials to cities in the central US.  And guess what, most millennials still rent!  Definitely dive into as many of the BP (and other RE investing) books, blogs, and podcasts as you can.  Most of us on the forums are friendly and happy to help as well!
