Are you ready to serve your mandatory time in the military?

The idea that people doing government jobs are serving the country and those running businesses are not is fallacious.

A country and an economy have a variety of important and useful functions, including national defense, policing, cleaning roads, running businesses, etc. You cannot just have jobs that use taxes without people performing roles that generate the wealth to make it all happen.

If you let market-based rules determine who does what, you will allocate labor resources well. If you have the government determining people's activities, you will waste resources with people like Steve Jobs cleaning decks instead of creating useful products.
