Do You Know Tampa Bay Public Schools? Wesley Chapel or Wimauma?

Are you familiar with Tampa Bay public schools? Wimauma (Sun City Center area) or Wesley Chapel?

I am a parent with children who is trying to decide if I want to rent in a DR Horton development in Wesley Chapel or Winauma (Sun City Center). We've narrowed down our search to two communities. Although we like Wimauma's "Southshore Bay" community and its houses available for rent more than the community and available houses of Wesley Chapel's "Epperson," the school district in Wesley Chapel is significantly better. However, there seems to be more demand for rentals in Wimauma's "Southshore Bay" since there are much fewer houses available for rent in that community. The rental prices in the two communities are around the same, the communities have the same homes, and both communities seem to be family friendly with large lagoons occupied by children and their families. 

Any opinions on where I should rent? Wimauma's "Southshore Bay" or Wesley Chapel's "Epperson"?

    Hello Blaise Doremus, my question would be, who has a JOB and pays the Rent if you can choose to live in such out of the way places? I had rentals for thirty years in South Tampa and some families would even rent one of my duplex apartments and not live there, just to have the ZIP Code for Plant City High School in Palma Ceia. That was the one everyone wanted to send their children to or Jesuit High School on Himes Ave. Wimauma is a Flood Zone and Wesley Chapel is trying to expand on their one highway that is a traffic nightmare. Your renting, not investing, so property appreciation is not an issue. There was an article last month stating that the Board wants to stop permits for new construction in Wimauma, Manatee, South County areas because there is no more Water for new developments. May be something you can check out. I know that Bradenton in the summertime has a resevoir that runs low and they get yellow sandy water. I sold my Commercial lots on Dale Mabry and Interbay last year and paid Cash for a 1500 sq. foot, 3/3 Townhome with one car garage and pool in the 17 unit Community on the North side of Hwy 60, behind the Home Depot in Valrico. I wanted to have a clean, quiet place to come back to from my travels, without having to do the outside maintenance and landscaping. I am minutes away from anything I would need and Brandon Hospital etc. It's on a rolling hilly area, which is how most of Brandon etc. is like on the North side of Hwy 60. The South side of Hwy 60 has the Flood Zones and Mosquitoes and Traffic jams and lots of beautiful homes and Shopping Malls. You really need to live in an area to find out all the pros and cons and make an informed lifestyle decision on your own.
