Price for reglazing a bathtub and wall tile?

    Is it tile around the bathroom or bathtub (i.e. a tub surround)?

    In my area, decent tile setters are $20-25 per sf for wall tile, so your price seems about right, even a bit low, for a standard tub surround. If it's around the whole bathroom, calculate the cost/sf to figure out if it's reasonable. 

    If it is a tub or shower surround, make sure they are also installing a proper waterproofing membrane, otherwise you will be ripping it back out in 5 years. This is usually an additional charge.

    I got 3 estimates here in SC for your standard tub and three-wall surround. Two estimates were $850 and the other was double that. I picked one of the $850 ones, naturally.

    Wow that’s so much better. So $850 for both compared to $1500 sheeesh! Wish they could be in my town of PA…

    Yah I would expect to pay about $850 here in Indianapolis for the bath tub and surround.  Never re-glazed tiled walls before but based on the cost of the tub and surround I would imagine it would be about the same so your prices are probably spot on.

    @Jeffer Bengi Leiva,  Those initial quotes you got seem quite reasonable for a descent contractor in this area. 
    I'm in the Lehigh valley and we've found it more cost effective to just do a tub replacement on several of ours lately.

    The quotes I get typically range between 1200-1500 in Allentown. It usually costs us no more than 2,500 to rehab a bathroom in the area.

    For both tub and tile. Yes I do, $2500-$3000 to be more accurate.
