Look on a site like home advisor, angies list, craigslist, etc. However; most contractors don't like spinning their wheels without the potential to get the job. If you use them for estimate, use them for work. If you have no intention of using them for doing the work, be honest, and pay them a fee for their estimate.

I thought the same thing Karen. I didn't read anything about the Contractor being compensated for his services since he likely won't be getting the job.

Hi,
I'm in Sparta and have been renovating distressed properties. I do 90% of the estimating myself but have my contractors do the work. I think most of my contractors wouldn't really be interested in checking out a job unless they thought they had a good chance of getting it. They seem to be pretty busy lately.
I would however be happy to check it out and maybe buy it if it made sense. Let me know.
