Looking to connect with more Investors in the Iowa City area. My partners and I are currently looking for our next project. If you’re an investor in the IC, Coralville, North Liberty area how are you lead generating? Reach out if you’d like to grab a coffee and network sometime.
What kind of stuff are you looking for? Happy to connect over BP. We have units in Coralville, Riverside, Washington, and soon in IC. Majority of our deals are from relationships. People we have met in the business and what not. I don't have lots of time for sit-downs, but I'm a IC local who also invests in the area. Happy to shoot the breeze!

Hi guys - I'm a rental investor here in town too. I've found a couple of my deals through relationships, one for sale by owner and others by MLS. I'm focused primarily outside of IC however because finding a good deal in the local market is really tough. I've got duplexes in Washington, Riverside, Cedar Rapids and Iowa City and I've done some flipping on the west coat, pre-bubble burst . ;)

@Quinn Jacobsen When you say next "project", are you up for a significant rehab?
@Jamison Schweitzer I do have properties on the market. I have some multi family units under contract in Ankeny so I am trying to liquidate some of my holdings here to make that happen.
@AJ Leman relationships, that’s a very common answer. Says a lot about the need to network in this business! We’re looking for buy and hold rentals and aren’t afraid to rehab if need be. Single family/ small multi family. We’ve had a lot of deals brought to us from wholesalers in CR, and the numbers make sense on paper but the neighborhoods seem less than ideal as far as tenants go. Have you liked your experience with tenants in Washington and Coralville?
@Jamison Schweitzer I love it. Where abouts on the west coast did you do some flipping? By “project” I didn’t necessarily mean a major rehab although we would be open to properties that require extensive rehab. How are you liking the duplex in CR? We’ve been very cautious about buying up there.
@Quinn Jacobsen Portland. As far as CR goes, there are no-go pockets in my mind but there's obviously money to be made. Just do your research and find your comfort level.
