Poll how much money has BiggerPockets made for you?

I'm not going to get too inquisitive here, so lets simply use  the numbers below.  Please select the number that is most appropriate.  I personally have made more than $100K.

So hard to know,  but I will say this,  as a 27 year old making $30,000 a year, my net worth minus debt hit 6 figures this year.     2 years ago, before bigger pockets,  it was under $10,000. 

I know this would not have been possible without bigger pockets!   I am so thankful.

    It's inspiring to see the successful results from those that have shared. It appears the people who have received the most income as a result of BP are also those that have have put in the most time and effort and been willing to share their knowledge with others. I have been a member of the site since 2008 and regret that I haven't gotten more involved over the years. I have however learned a lot during this time reading through forum posts and I am committed to getting more involved and networking within the community moving forward as it has obviously had a huge impact for many people.

    But seriously, I've been a fan of BP for over a year before I joined the team, and now own a Duplex that I would not have purchased without the guidance of the site's content.

    Hmmm, "deals done because of, or through BP": $0

    Other quantifiable dollars directly attributable to being a member of BP:  > $15,000

    Hard to quantify.  Deals with other BP members would be $0.  Income from utilizing products sold by BP members > 100k but less than $1mm.  One yellow letter in particular has turned into a development partnership that has the potential to push that number in the > $1mm range.  Another yellow letter turned me into a hard money lender.  Not the intended effect, but it worked out.

    Advice from reading has certainly added quite a bit to the net, but that's impossible to calculate.

    I'd parrot what some others said about it being difficult to say how much I've "made"

    ...but net worth increase of 100k+ (and growing) in the 1.5 years is easily identifiable.

    Great question. It is amazing to me to have done business with people I'd never met.  Actual deal money:   Lent money to a BP member, a 2-day bridge loan for points only.  

    Benefits/discounts;  Borrowed hard money rehab funds from a BP member at a VERY favorable rate.  Got a FANTASTIC deal by using a BP member's contractor/employee for a small job out of area.  I'm sure there is more.

    Mainly, I've learned a ton and enjoyed doing title research for many members.

    I've just started and only started getting rent checks since August 2014. So somewhere around $1000.

    The first property I purchased was before I found Bigger Pockets. Although it wasn't a bad deal I certainly did better on my second property. By learning how to do a proper analysis I was able to focus on getting the best deal possible, pick a better area, get a better tenant, etc.

    Over $100k for sure in the entire time I've been here.  I want to do that amount again, but just in 2015!

    Bill G. I propose you write a book about negotiating with sellers and buyers and agents, and then working with title companies and attorneys with deeds and documents and contracts. I will get on Skype and I'll then hire some VA from India to transcribe it all then get a really cool picture of some Socrates wise looking guy on the front cover saying that " if you read this book you will save a huge amount of time and missed mistakes." What do you think, Bill?

    @Cal C. I've made $0 from BP, and I am actually the one who gets the honor of Podcast guest #101  ?

    I did get a few lunches with some great people, and I look forward to getting to know more people.  I've only been on BP for a short time, and I'm already developing some great relationships!  Ask me this question in a year, and I'm sure I'll have a much different answer.

    Saved about 2,000 in coffee, and dinner due to meeting other bp members the past couple years :-)  ....

    In the middle of deals with a couple bp member that should pay off well next year...

    One rehab partnership from a bp introduction, netted about 24k on first two deals, as partner split. Have two on the market and two under rehab with same  partner ...next year that partnership should 5x that amount.

    Bought a property from a bp member, wholesaled it to a rehabber for 8k profit .. so total about 32k that can he directlty linked in 2014.

    So far about $5K in profit on the rental I purchased in February of this year using the knowledge gained by reading BP!

    Stop prodding me Brian, I have issues with giving special operation tactics or an Uzi to youngsters  and there would be no way to secure the firing range by publishing a book, it would not be responsible or in the public's best interests. While I would like to do that and hopefully help some folks, I'm afraid that giving out all the real secrets in RE, that they would be misused by others who just can't be trusted.

    Besides, I'm better looking than Socrates, I just need to comb out my knee length white beard and raise my staff before giving out any written words to be followed.

    Besides that, no one would pay for it.

    I may just giving seminars at luncheons, I could work for food, which reminds me, are those signs held by those standing at street corners, "Will Work For Food" considered bandit signs? Might ask the Yellow Letter guys for help. :)

    With a sub four thousand  Alexa ranking I bet the numbers are very low. 

    It would be interesting to run a spy program to determine the Google spend and track newsletter revenue not to mention the podcast revenue.   

    BP is a cash cow. However I bet at one point in time Josh was way too stressed about it all performing profitably.  

    He is probably the largest real estate investor on the forum.

    This made me laugh.  A few months ago I did some title research to help a BP member.  I tracked down where the missing owners post foreclosure might be, in another state.  I gave the member 3 addresses of possible family members and told him what I would do.  He wrote me a few weeks later to tell me he did exactly what I said.  This never happens, no one ever does exactly what I say.  And he got the deal!  He said thank you very much and that he would be making a donation.....to Josh.  Yay Josh!
