What are some good places to find tenants when house hacking

My friends are irresponsible and so are family members so I’m trying to find tenants other than them to house hack. I have two bedrooms available.

IG/FB post/story. There are many sites as well, but from someone who's house hacked by the room for several years... you definitely want to have a friend of a friend and not a stranger, if possible

    Hello Baron, it is nice to see you on here. I would say that the best place to find tenants depends on if your house hack is a long term rental or a short term rental. If it is long term rental, I would recommend looking to market it on roomies.com. If it is a short term rental I would look to market it on sites such as travel nurses or Airbnb. I hope this helps.

    @Baron Wilson - My go-to is Facebook Marketplace and "rooms for rent" specific groups on FB. Here in the Denver area, there are a lot of groups specific to renting rooms. Give that a try and make sure to stick to a strict screening process (background/credit/eviction check, past rental references, proof of employment or income verification etc.)

    If you a near a university think graduate students. Most are old enough to want a nice place to live, not yet working full time so need to economize and still used to roommates.

    @Baron Wilson Can you clarify your question? Are you asking if I made money from finding good tenants for my house hack, then yes absolutely. I've also saved a lot of money by not dealing with the headaches of unqualified tenants.

    Definitely Facebook. Look on marketplace and search "Room for Rent" and get an idea of what else is out there.
