Seeking advice on how to build new partnerships?

Hi guys thanks for reading, I’m looking for advice on how to get out there and build new investment partnerships with like-minded people that are looking to start or are already investing in real estate. Where can I find these people? Thanks in advance.

    @Leland James do you have any skills? If you are trying to use other people's money you need to bring something to the table and expect to take a small slice of the pie.

    Thanks guys. Aaron, what I have to offer is five years experience in fixing and flipping homes, capital, and manage everything. I’m a licensed GC

    Which areas of Washington are you flipping in? Are you only flipping locally in Tacoma?

    @Leland James I would recommend talking to other investors you've worked with.  As a GC, do you do rehabs for any other investors? 

    I joined in a partnership after doing a flip with my GC.  We  ended up working well together, and decided to start doing deal together.  I get a GC that is dedicated and invested in our deals, and will prioritize them.  He gets access to investing in deals, and its a win win.

    Robert that sounds good! Yes I am working with my investor whose I am on now. We’re talking partnership. That is a good idea. I do 90% or work for investors

    Hi Randy! No I do flips all over Washington state. Usually try to stay within a 40-50 miles radius of Tacoma

    @Leland James. I found my first business partner on BP. Just network and keep an eye out for people who share your interests and mentality. From your previous posts you have a lot to offer, so I’d recommend finding a money partner or someone who’s owned a lot of rentals

    @Leland James - The answer depends on what you want out of your partner and what you are offering to bring to the partnership.  

    What are you looking for in a partner? Someone to help with acquisitions? Someone to help project manage? Someone to write checks and serve as the "money" for the flip? 

    What are you offering to bring? It sounds like you have a good track record and experience with fix and flip which can be valuable to the right type of person.

    Like others have previously stated, you have to find a way to add value to what someone is doing.

    @Leland James I have found many potential partners from Reia meetings, conferences, networking groups (i.e. fb) and one of the best are right here on BP which has been invaluable for me personally networking. Again relationships go both ways and there needs to be something you bring to the table whether it be time, knowledge or capital. You dont need all three, but you need at least one for sure.
