Requested Change to Keyword Alert System

Any chance that there could be an option added to exclude "Classifieds" post from the Keyword Alerts?  I like the keyword alerts notifications system to see conversations of interest, but its swamped with ad posts in Classifieds which I would prefer to filter out, since those are typically not confersation threads

    I’d actually push this one step further than just excluding Classifieds.

    The clean architecture would be:

    Keyword → Scope → Exclusions → Threshold → Delivery

    So when I create an alert, I could say:

    "DSCR"

    Include:
    Forums
    Specific categories
    Specific markets

    Exclude:
    Classifieds
    Marketplace/business posts
    Certain categories
    Specific words

    Then add one more useful layer: conversation threshold.

    For example, notify me only when:
    • it’s an actual discussion thread
    • the keyword appears in the original post, not just a signature
    • there’s a new substantive reply
    • I haven’t already been alerted to the same thread

    Then let delivery be:
    Immediate
    Daily digest
    Weekly digest

    That turns keyword alerts from a basic text-match feature into a proper signal filter.

    The Classifieds toggle fixes today’s problem. Building it this way prevents the next ten versions of the same problem.

      Yea I’ve considered saved search criteria with alerting to me a missing feature. We will take a stab at adding it, but that’ll take a bit longer due to the setting page needing more of an overhaul.

      @Michael Eskenasy I've added some features to this to be able to include by category and market.

      If people are posting content in signatures, flag that cause they should not be doing that and a moderator will remove it.
