They actually don't make THAT much money either, a lot of their "profit" is eaten by marketing overhead because of Angie's List, Google Adwords, ect are so insanely expensive in that space...Anyway, you're correct, we live in a very "hustle bro" economy and everyone wants fast, clean money without having to put in the work.

Thus, I'm not running AdWords campaigns, etc. although a recent booking proved to me that guests who have stayed with us before- can find our direct booking site if they search for us.

In the meantime, using AdWords is an excellent way to gain immediate exposure while you build your organic traffic. 

Adwords gives us complete control over volume of leads.

We have a website, we are on Google with Adwords, (spent $700 on that last month) we mailed out over 1,500 postcards to vacant houses and houses that are coming up for tax sale, we have an ad on craigslist, and yet no deals. 

Whether this is using something like Facebook Ads or Google AdWords or just going to local events and handing out business cards with your URL on them.  

I have began incorporating different marketing campaigns such as mailing yellow letters, building websites, squeeze pages, good adwords, etc... and have began to get those calls.
