I really thought this through and I truly think it's the only legit, enduring solution that threads the needle of best results for all on BP, and for BP Platform profitability (if it don't make $, it won't make sense for ownership and thus, it won't happen, right). 

One thing keeping me back from fully pulling the trigger is the amount of climate-related events that Miami seems to endure and the cost on repairs, HOA fees and of course, taxes.

Where they have great enduring incomes, and immense write-off potentials.

I had to endure a long drawn out process as well.

Anyone trying to solve this problem will be faced with the problem of producing positive cash flow to have the business model endure.

And if you haven't looked around, affordability in almost everything and anything is in the Great Depression terms-- the difference is back then it was against Gold so they endured it.

For me STR's have to have something of enduring intrinsic value in what it is, not just "a place" in "a area", that is what hotels are for. 

I usually only "harden" them to get them ready for the abuse they're about to endure and also do roofs, exterior paint, new HVACs, etc.
