Using credit cards to furnish an airbnb property

My wife and I are excited to begin our real estate journey with real estate. We, like most, are limited to capital. 

I hear some people talk about using credit cards in order to pay for appliances and furnishings. We like this idea but are hesitant on pulling the trigger. 

Are there any things to consider before we start going down the path of getting credit cards for paying for items around the home? It seems fairly straight forward. 

We just want our Airbnb property to become the best it can be.

    A lot of people finance short term projects on credit cards. Those 0% interest rates for 12-18 months are a great way to do it but just make sure you understand to the fine print and pay it off before the end of the promotion period since at that time it'll bounce up to 29% or whatever crazy APR they are. I know some store card even charge back interest if it isn't paid off before the end of the promotional period.

    On a related note I know people that do this on the rewards cards with and collect the miles or credits or what ever other type of rewards you would find meaningful, while taking advantage of the 0% interest. 

    Its a great way to finance purchases if your disciplined enough to pay it off quickly. 

    The other thing people do is the home equity line of credit on another property to fuel these type of purchases.

    I think using it as a short term line of credit is a good strategy and would help you get your rental to start booking fast. I would suggest spending the extra $ and getting professional photography. That is going to help you market your Airbnb tremendously. 

    Alternatively as a cost saving measure I would use Facebook Marketplace to get some essential pieces. That will cut down the prices significantly and you'll have the pieces right away. Home Goods or Pier 1 should be a good place for additional accessory items.
