Good Evening, 

I am currently going into my second year of college for accounting at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Florida.

I have been job searching for a couple of months now and I was wondering what are some jobs or opportunities I should look into that can give me the ability to increase my income and can give me experience that will help me as a real estate investor in college. I have a lot of time on my hands and I just have not been able to find a position that I will be able to learn from and provide value at the same time. 

I am currently delivering for instacart and postmasters and I am looking for a job where I can acquire experience in real estate and also increase my current income. 

I have been applying to retail and restaurant jobs and they have not been responding back. Other than working in retail and in a restaurant serving tables I was thinking to work at a title company, as a paralegal for a real estate attorney, or as a virtual assistant. 

If you guys have any suggestions I would appreciate it if you could help me out.

    @John Akhlaghi I'd say the most valuable would likely be a wholesaler.  You will learn key skills about finding great deals.  And even maybe have a few come across your desk where you can purchase!

    Become a helper for a general contractor! There are always people wanting help...I would lean away from ones looking for plumbing/electrical

    Would learn how to do installs (cabinets, flooring, appliances, countertops, exterior items, etc.)

    Just learning efficient ways to work, in real estate, and save $ from having to hire everything out will be extremely useful in my opinion

    Go look on the career page for Regency Centers Corporation if anything interesting is posted.  I know we just posted a Property Accounting Manger position yesterday.  I assume someone internal might move up and take that and have some property accounting positions open up after that if you are interested in that kind of stuff.

    (Also look into the Accounting internship program they recently started last year I think)

    You may want to see if you can learn bookkeeping and do some keeping for real estate investors.

    You would advance your accounting resume while getting your feet wet with real estate understanding the numbers of investors.

    Alright, how much do you recommend that I charge investors for the keeping? Would I do it depending on how many units they have?

    Why would you recommend staying away from people that are plumbers and electricians?

    Would I need to have my general contractor's license or any license to work under a general contractor or a subcontractor? 

    I have always heard that it is hard to find good contractors? How do you know that a contractor is good to work for and learn from?

    What are some good companies that I can work for?

    Other than creating a buyers list and a business account. I do not mind putting in the work, but I do not know how to start a wholesaling business. 

    I feel I am in the position right now. 

    I am currently looking for jobs right now because I do not have that much money. 

    I would like to invest in apartments/condos and eventually scale up to bigger multifamily deals. 

    Would getting my real estate license help me if I become a realtor or if I don't, will it still benefit me when I invest?  

     I don't know how many units I would want to own and scale up to, but I do know that I would like to be financially independent by 35.

    Yes, that is my exact problem with the site! I am glad you enjoyed the video. 

    I am not a wholesaler, so its hard for me to say what the next step is, I specialize in buy and hold.  

    I can help you there.  You can get a job as a wholesaler I know that which can teach you the ropes. Getting a real estate agent's license is beneficial, but not completely necessary.
