What is Your Best Experience With Fellow BP Members Sharing?

I have had BP members send me the following:

A copy of Spin Selling (thank you Jon Klaus) cassettes, contracts they use (thank you Ricky), advice on estate planning (thanks Vikram), attorney references (thank you Kevin Yeats), and vetting for advice on investing in our projects (thanks to all that have checked us out!).

I was wondering if others have had the same experience(s) and what the most valuable information, relationship, etc. was you received from members on the site. Feel free to thank those that have helped in your response as well.

Bryan,
I hope this turns out to be another wildly popular thread! I have only been active on BP for a little over a week now. I joined in April, about a month ahead of you, but I was just trying to scoop up knowledge, and there fore made no contacts.

I have yet to make the kind of connect you speak of above, but information? Man, I just wouldn't know where to start. But what I will say is this:

I remember when you first started posting and I thought "who is this guy?". Seemed like you were the only one posting for awhile, and I saw your face every where. Some of the things you wrote were so far over my head that it made my ears bleed! But it just inspired me to learn more.

Then you started the topic last week about getting more folks involved in discussions. So I made the leap, and surprise surprise, I started making contacts. And there's icing on that cake to; some of you that I've been looking up to for so long now have started voting up my posts. How encouraging.

Thank you Bryan. Thank you Rich Weese. Thanx Jon H, Steve B, Nick J, Greg, Todd, and thank you to Charles Perkins. Thanks for the info and all the encouragement. I always know you guys are there if I ever need you. Guru shmooroo, you guys (and Gals) are the best. :woohoo: :woohoo:

I found BP just over 1 year ago, and have relied on the support of it's members for all my technical questions. I love it because everyone is so willing to donate their time to help mentor those that are seeking experience.

I always look forward to learning something new each and every day here on BP!

    Phone contact with BP members:
    1. Steve Babiak was essential in helping me navigate PA sheriff sales. I was familiar with foreclosure in NYS, but PA proved to be quite the different animal. Without him I would not have been able to acquire a 2000 sq ft log cabin, on a 9 acre site in the heart of the Marcellus Shale boom in Bradford County. I received a cold call yesterday from someone that would like to purchase the house without the mineral rights, and at a price considerably above what we paid.

    2. Rich Weese has always provided sound advice in regards to my transition into full time investor. He also kindly took time from his busy schedule to advise me at moments notice on my 399 Gregory St mixed use development proposal.

I've been starting to use PM's a bit more, and I would like to thank Loc & Marc for their wisdom and insight into note investing.

Nothing beats experience. And BP members are the most experienced, and friendliest investor collaboration in the world. I look forward to interacting with more of you in the years to come. I just hope not pester anyone. I know everyone is very busy running their businesses, and I have the utmost respect for all of you.

    Sincerely,
    Mark Updegraff

    Thanks for sharing Mark!

Our fund has raised a lot of money and I have found some near-miss partners recently. One of the site's members invested in a project in east Austin with some of the folks I introduced him to. I have also had a lot of great conversations with site members over the last few months.

Phil has helped to develop my skeletal apartment complex model into something that will soon be a great product for BP to use and share. We're still looking for volunteers to help run a test on the model with their real world complex...hopefully someone will share there soon!

Thanks Bryan Hancock, for introducing me to one of your contacts. We are doing an extensive rehab/flip together. Also, for making me aware of the opportunities in that neighborhood.

    This is the BEST thread!!

I'm pretty new to BP but quickly becoming addicted! I originally had some skepticism(some of you know that back-story....Nick J, Josh) :D but threads like these help reinforce the reason why BP is successful.

Thanks Nick J. for being the 1st person to welcome me...both times!!!

Thanks Mark Updegraff for connecting with me locally.

Thanks Josh and all who keep this site up and running and constantly improving it.

I look forward to meeting more of you and doing business with you. :D :D
