Hey Everyone --

I am excited to announce the release of our new 'beta' program for BPInsights (beta basically means a testing phase in software-speak).  This is a project we’ve been working on for a few months, and we’re very excited about what we have in store. BPInsights will provide our Pro and Premium members with the best real estate investing data available. This will be delivered in the form of written content, video content, and on-site tools. Our goal is to supply you with unique data to help you make the most informed investment decisions possible. This is a massive expansion of the Pro and Premium memberships, and we’re very excited to share it with you.

All that being said, this is not exactly how we planned to launch BPInsights. The original plan was to build some great on-site tools, create a back catalog of dozens of articles and white papers, and launch in the second half of 2020.

But things have changed a lot in the last few weeks.

Rather than wait a few more months to launch BPInsights, we’re launching this week. We now face a rapidly changing economic environment, and we know that our data can provide valuable information to our members. Right now, we mostly have rent data, but we’ll be acquiring new data sources over the next few months and will get it to you as soon as we can.

In the meantime, we’ll keep plugging away at our original plans for useful tools and much more content, so keep an eye out for a full launch later in 2020. But for now, you can expect a weekly email from us with as much data-centric content as we can produce. In exchange, we’d love to hear your feedback on how we can improve the content and what data is most valuable to you. I’ve created a new forum thread here to gather your feedback about BPInsights.

You can find the most recent BPInsights article here.

Any screenshots of what rent data would look like so those who aren't currently pro members can see if they want to make the upgrade for it? Thank you.

    @Dave Meyer Can you point them to one of the great articles you wrote that are FREE on the blog for some of the folks here?

    One of my favorites so far is this one:

    https://www.biggerpockets.com/blog/bpinsights-market-study-top-25-us-cities-cash-flow-appreciation

    Are there more like this that folks can access as they get a preview/taste of the BP Insights value before they upgrade?

    @Dave Meyer

    Thank you, the link works for me. Where is BP insights available from other than through the link in this thread? I don't see any drop down option to view BP insights. Maybe I'm not looking in the right place.

    Just read your 4/15/20 insight article on rents Dave.  Info analysis is FANTASTIC and very helpful.

    One thing I'd be curious to hear from others... how many landlords out there have pulled an active rental or have paused placing a new one up due to current uncertainties?  Thus creating a "shadow inventory" of rentals so to speak.  I'm wondering how significant of a chunk of those listings that are showing up as coming off market are actually not rented?

    Example: I'm in Orlando and just wrapped up a rehab project intended for STR, but then figured we'd be better off renting it as a LTR for now given dour economic outlook. But between State of Florida putting a hold on evictions and moving targets on opening up the economy again, I've opted to pause for now to see how it plays out. I'd rather (and fortunately can afford to) let it sit empty for a bit instead of rushing to fill it with a tenant with so many unknowns right now.

    Planning to upgrade this week. Just heard about this at the webinar and I'm super excited. I love having access to all the data from other States as I plan to start investing outside my market area this year.
