just wondering of any multifamily investors on here that live/invest in corpus christi,Texas ? I invest in property here myself but would like to meet other investors in the area.

Nice to see corpus has some active investors. I am also in the process of prospecting another investment property here in corpus. Currently house hacking my primary residence.
Hi, I'm very interested in this area if anyone who has properties there would like to provide any insight as to expectations of cash flow and neighborhoods.
North Beach is up and coming. There is a community over there wanting to build up a boardwalk similar to New Jersey and return North Beach to it's prime (I think it had a boardwalk in 1915 before a hurricane).
It has a lot of work to be done but it's in a good spot to downtown, right near the highway so easy to access and get to places all over the city whether you are going to the island for spring break or the university to visit college students it's a short drive.
The area it self could be better but I think it has a lot of potential. Most condos here have Airbnb/short term leases blocked in the HOA rules though, I would check on that before making a move. The only reason I bring it up is because I recently looked for some condos to get into for Airbnb and had problems.
I am trying to narrow down potential cities to invest in and Corpus Christi recently came across my radar. The data I was looking at claims that it is close to the 1% rule. Any investors here with SFH rentals that have seen steady appreciation and cash flow?
@Jordan Graham My fiancé and I are in the process of closing on two duplexes in Corpus Christi. These are our first two in the area, but we plan to continue to invest here. We are buying each duplex for $129,900. All four units are currently rented at $700, which is below market value, but just above the 1% rules.
Corpus Christi is actually a pretty exciting place to invest. It might be a weird time to pick up multifamily rentals since there is a massive apartment complex being built at the moment, but single family should be pretty safe.
Also worth mentioning San Antonio is experiencing massive appreciation right now and a portion of that is certain to spill over into the Corpus area based on proximity and a lot of San Antonio residents vacationing there. STR's could be extremely attractive as well.
I don't foresee North Beach becoming a thing unless developers dump some of their own money in to it as the blinders that the economic affect it's going to have on the citizens are being lifted. I do agree that Corpus is a good place to invest in so long as, like with all investments, you get in at a good price. @Stone Saathoffwhich apartment complex are you referring too?

That date works for me. I’m new to real estate and bigger pockets so I’m hoping to soak up as much as I can from other investors. I don’t have any properties yet but I’ve been living in Corpus for 10 years. B&J’s pizza might be a good place to meet up.
