Sometimes people use different manners of speaking, and it's up to us as responsible hosts to adapt our own language to suit the guest.

Today I got an inquiry from Trevor.  Here are his exact quotes, and my responses:

Trevor:  "Sup Boss Man?  Is this private?  Wanna enjoy the hot tub with some vibes."

Host:  "Sup bro?  It's private, but you can't do no tracks in tracks in the hot tub cuzz the neighbors."

Trevor:  "Bro can you smoke/"

Host:  "The homies says no."

Unfortunately, this delightful guest decided not to book with us.

Thats hilarious and his questions are huge red flags.

    You dodged a bullet.

Hilarious, I have had some similar fun.

Reminds me that when I got out of the military I took a corporate job as a recruiter.  People would actually talk like that while pursuing employment opportunities.

    Bring back Darwinism...

Most entertaining post I have read lately : )

it sounds like it worked out well for everyone by you using his manner of speaking.

I would not copy the guest’s slang. Match the level of formality, sure. Still write it clearly enough to screenshot when they later say nobody explained the smoking rule.
