Appraisal in Gatlinburg came in lower than offer

Hi everyone, I posted we are under contract in Gatlinburg, and found out yesterday our appraisal came in under offer so we may need to head back down for a second hunt. Just waiting on seller to see what he’s willing to do. A cabin 2 doors down sold for 10k less than our offer, and we came in at list price. Discouraged, just ready to buy a cabin.

You can negotiate the sales price down, pay the difference, or walk away. Are you so desperate to own one that you're willing to overpay? If you paid the additional $10,000 today and the market stagnated tomorrow, or even dropped, would you still be happy with your purchase?

When making a purchase, you should consider market value. But at the end of the day, every property is worth what it's worth to you, not what it's worth to everyone else.
