Newbie in New York Area (NYC, NJ and Upstate)

Hello Every one here at bigger pockets!

I am new to real estate investment. Have been reading a lot for last few months and I am ready start working on some deals. I am going to start wholesaling 2-4 multifamily units around NYC (mostly Brooklyn and Queens) and would like to network with some buyers interested in fixing and rehabs. Any advices from the community? From fixers and rehab-ers?

PS I speak perfect spanish so I can get into the huge hispanic market very easily!

We have a bunch of New Yorkers around here and there is monthly meet up, the next one is Tuesday May 13th.... do a search and you will find all the info.

I think you hit on it yourself -- take advantage of your ability to speak Spanish and build a solid reputation for yourself in the Spanish speaking communities. Get known as a person who is trustworthy, reliable, who understands both real estate and the local culture, and who can solve problems.
