Real estate is the resource - Not the end state

Hi everyone - glad to be here.

My name is Joshua Hardin. I’m a retired Army combat veteran, visually impaired investor, and builder.

As I step into this next chapter, I want to be clear about something I’ve learned the hard way:
Real estate is the resource - not the end state.

For a long time, I chased money. And the harder I chased it, the faster it ran. What I didn’t understand then was that deals don’t come from pursuit - they come from alignment.

I’m an investor, but not in the way most people assume.
I invest in people. Homes. Relationships. Stability. Freedom.

To me, real estate is about serving homeowners, having the uncomfortable conversations, and identifying the real problem - not just the financial one. Connection is the fuel. No one is meant to carry this alone.

Retirement taught me something else too: it’s a blessing, but it’s not the finish line. Purpose still matters. Success isn’t just money or assets - it’s stewardship, joy, and how you’re remembered.

If you’re opening a new chapter and it feels blank - good. It’s supposed to be. Build it. Ask questions. Learn openly. No one here has it all figured out, and that’s not a flaw - it’s the work.

Looking forward to growing alongside you.

- Sarge
