Hello everyone! I just wanted to introduce myself to the group. My name is Christopher and I just moved to Raleigh a few weeks ago. I am originally from Massachusetts. I am working on getting into wholesaling as well as flipping properties here. I am working with a cash investor up North who is open to deals here. I am looking to network with people around the area and learn about what the market is like here. From what I've heard so far there are plenty of buyers but low inventory. Also rentals seem to be a big thing here as well. There are a lot of townhouses here which is something new to me. What has everyone's experience been like investing in townhouses? I'm also looking for an investor friendly title company to work with who will be able to do double closings/assignments. I realize I threw a lot out there. Any information or advice will be greatly appreciated and I hope to hear from you!
Welcome to Raleigh! First off, we use RE closing attorneys here not title companies . Justin Taylor and wayne roper with roper and Taylor law firm off six forks rd have been great to work with. Plenty of buyers from the crazy northerners moving down. Strangest thing?! Let me know if I can help with anything. PM me if you have any more specific questions about working in this town.
Welcome to Bigger Pockets. BP is full of resources. You will find resources here from blogs to pod casts and forums. You can also send messages to members. This is one of my favorite features of Bigger Pockets especially for asking specific questions.
@Christopher Drabato Welcome to BP. It is a great forum for all levels of real estate investment interest. Use the search option and you will get answers to most of your questions. As mentioned by @Uriah D. in NC, an Attorney conduct closings along with other related activities. On town homes, not sure what exactly your question is but they have a good market for rentals and keep an eye on the HOA Due amount and details. Good Luck!
@Christopher Drabato , welcome to BP! This is a great site with great resources and people. Be sure to use them.

@Christopher Drabato Welcome to Raleigh and to BP! Townhouse can be great. Just make sure the HOA fees are not too high and that the HOA has plenty of money in reserves for capital expenses.
Hi @Christopher Drabato Welcome to Raleigh and to BP.
If you haven't heard already, there's a Raleigh BP meetup tonight.
Hope to see you!
@Leonard L. i'll be there!
Welcome @Mark Shafer ! As far as townhouses go, I am still learning about townhouses. Be careful with HOA fees and see what those include. BP has plenty of information. Just poke around and ask questions and you'll get the answers you are looking for!
