Hi to everyone in BP community! I moved to SF recently and I want to make out this city my new home. I was fortunate to find out about BP through a friend, @Jeremy Jones. Since then I've been listening to most of the podcasts and reading a lot of articles in my desire to learn about investment properties business. I flipped apartments and houses in LA, San Antonio and Seattle 10 years ago but it was just opportunistic. Back then I was an interior designer who branched out into RE investment. Looking for a meaning in designing residences, I decided to go back to school and take my Master in Architecture at Parsons, NYC. Recently my love in investment properties grew back and I'd to get in touch with experienced investors in San Francisco. I have a full time job at an architectural firm in SF working on prestigious multi-family projects. So, I'd be happy offer to the local investors my two sentences about the design of their projects in exchange for your kindness to share with me your experience in RE investment in SF. I'd love to hear from you!

Normally I'd be happy to meet up, but I'm on a cross-country road trip until late July or early August. I'm organizing the Summit (with the help of others!) and managing my RE biz on the road, but I'll be back about 4 weeks before the event. Or give me a ring while I'm driving! ;)
Having a meetup tonight in Phoenix, then camping in Sedona, and over to Austin!! Hopefully @Bryan Hancock , @Lynn Currie , and maybe @John Fedro will have some time to hang out! Maybe plan a meetup..? Probably week after Memorial Day..?

@Felicia Nitu Hi Felicia, welcome to BP! I have corresponded with your friend Jeremy about a month or so ago... I came across him on BP... seems like a cool guy. Anyhow since you are now in San Francisco the big buzz going around on BP for meeting investors and learning from absolute pros is a REI Summit coming up soon in Oakland next to Lake Merritt. Investors from all over the country are flying in to speak or attend, and of course there's going to be a ton of local investors there also that you will be able to network with... @J. Martin is putting it together. I'll connect the two of you! Hope this helps!

@J. Martin I've seen some crazy documentaries about the cartels that run through arizona... LOL! your picture reminded me of it because of the dirt pile you're on and the desert in the background! are you sure you're not taking a "cross country road trip" and doing a side job to get more money for your next REI purchase... haha! kidding! :)

Felicia welcome to bigger pockets. I am a real estate investor in SF and could def use a fresh set of eyes on a property rehab I have in Oakland. I live and work in SF. Would love to pick your brain over what can be done to my property. In exchange I can be a guide for you for the rules and regulations of being a landlord of a rent controlled multiunit building in SF.

Thank you so much for the invite. I would absolutely love to come and join the both of you for drinks if I was in the area. I will be returning back home to Austin mid July. Until then I am looking at a handful of parks and managing my own in Kansas. With that said, thank you again sincerely for the invite to meet up when you're in town. Keep up the great work.

I've already followed up with one of your suggestions and I set up a meeting with a broker who was actually born and raised in the area I'm interested. We'll see what it comes out of it.
