Hi Everyone, 

Just wanted to introduce myself, I have been following up on this site for a while now, however just haven't gotten around to posting anything. I am looking to connect with fellow investors, wholesalers, and agents in the triangle area (Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill). My interest is in multifamily and buy and holds. Look forward to hearing back from some of you that already have experience in this field or are looking to get into it also!

@Laythe Jadallah - Yes, I have 6 rental properties (all Townhouses), each of which has positive cash flow near or above $300/mo (after expenses and reserves) with self-management. For two of these I've gotten the "Buyer's Agent" side of the commission, which is the seller paying me to buy their house - LOVE That! I started this journey into REI in January of 2015 and bought my first property in July of that year, so you're right where I was just over a year ago... Fun times ahead for you! The last two years have been among the best of my life.

    @Jonathan Taylor Smith I have been a licensed broker for about 5 months. At the moment I do not own a rental property, however by the end of the year I would like for that to be changed. I noticed you too have similar interest, do you currently have any rental properties?

    @Jonathan Taylor Smith man your on a roll! Love to hear you have found success so early on. If I may ask, how did you go about finding your properties mls, wholesalers, connections, ad campaigns?

    New here myself. Born and raised in Raleigh, had my license for about 2 years now. Check out the local meeting, I plan on going to the next one.

    Thanks @Luis Suarez and in answer to your question @Laythe Jadallah - I found the first 3 on the MLS in July of 2015, December of 2015 and July of 2016... Then I switched my strategy because this MLS method and getting 20% down financing was too slow. So I started doing DM to target communities and arranging Lease-Option deals with the property owners. That has allowed me to get properties number 4, 5, and 6 (one each) in August, September, and October.

    Laythe Jadallah Welcome to BP! This place got me started into rei. Great learning environment and inspiring as well - just closed my 4th deal of the year and recently became a licensed broker as well. I'm in the triangle currently as well.
