New to BP & Austin, Texas market

Hi, my name is Tom. I was introduced to BiggerPockets a couple weeks ago by an investor/realtor friend of mine. I am in the process of navigating the site and it's great resources. I am relocating to the Austin area. I have been in real estate since the late 80's but have not owned any properties for a few years. As I prepare to move back to Texas I am looking for a good REI club to network with in the Austin area. My long term goal is to move into owning apartment complexes, fifty or more units. Looking to network with other people who invest in, finance, manage, or own apartments. Thanks, Tom

     Welcome to BP and Texas. I did a stint in Bethlehem back in '89. Was too cold for a Texas boy so I had to come back. The summers were real nice though.

    @Thomas Hannan  Best of luck to you on the move to Austin!  I too am starting to look into larger apartment complexes.  There are not too many of those available here in the Lehigh Valley.  I hope you find what you are looking for in Texas!

    Thanks @Joe Cusick.  I only know of a couple complexes with 50 plus units around the area.  To get into the market in our area it seems like you have to go towards Reading, Philly, or NJ.
