Tiny house and Airbnb.

Has anyone tried to put a tiny house on Airbnb? I own a potable cabin and I’m considering using it as a rental. Any commentary will be appreciated.

@Perry Ivy I am also curious on this. There is a large lake near me that I have heard the tiny homes on the water there do very well on Airbnb/VRBO. At least $1,000/week during the summer months. But that is lakefront. I wonder how well tiny homes do not near a lake.

I have this one at the lake, unfortunately they drained the lake for repairs and it will be a while before it is refilled. Since I have properties on Airbnb I thought it might generate me some revenue :)

I'm curious as well. I have some vacant land with beautiful views that is just sitting there... We're paying taxes and insurance on it every year, thought about putting a yurt or a tinyhome on it and renting it out...

Call the local zoning inspector to be sure it is allowable and how many you can put on the site. Increasing density, increases revenue.

We own a tiny house on wheels that we've flipped into a short-term vacation rental (on airbnb) and it's doing quite well. We could never afford a regular-sized home that's as nice as our tiny home and it rents for the price of a luxury vacation rental. We're still getting numbers on how it rents for all the seasons (we live in it part time) but it seems to out-perform other rentals in our area.

@Bela Fishbeyn is your tiny home on all utility hook ups? I have heard some guests have challenges with any kind of unique utility and have caused damage so I’m concerned about any incinerator/compost toilet scenarios.
