Who plans to attend the IMN Residential Mortgage Notes, Non- & Re-Performing Loans Symposium September 22-23 in Santa Monica next week? I'm checking so that us BP'rs can possibly get together for a beverage and meet face2face.

PAYMENTS TO THE BUYER OF THE MORTGAGE. YOU CAN TAKE COURT ACTION RIGHT AWAY. THE NON JUDICIAL STATES I HEARD ARE MUCH EASIER TO DEAL WITH IN ANY COURT ACTION..
2. IF YOU BUY AND SELL MORTGAGES, DO YOU HAVE TO BE LICENSED IN MOST STATES.?

I will be there on Friday during the day. I know I know, I'll miss the best part of the conference, which is the after hours networking. Nonetheless it would be great to meet fellow BP'ers. Any plans to meet on Friday?

Andreas we will still be here Friday but since so many people are leaving maybe we should all try and get together after the event ends at 1:00 pm in the lobby bar

Just got back home from the IMN conference and I must say, it was one of the best note investing events I've attended. There was a full range of investment firms from multi hundred million dollar funds to individual investors. Great networking and great topics at the presentations. IMN will be doing another one in FL in January. I would recommend attending if you are looking for a good networking event.
FYI, I have no affiliation with this company, just very impressed with the results.
I found the location online. Palm Beach is a close drive for me. How would you rate your experience? Are you playing in the note sphere yet? I am doing private lending and originating notes but not got into buying them. I hear you have the possibility to make very high returns but you must know what you are doing!
Hi @John Thedford yes, my company acquires first position distressed debt with a goal to reach a resolution with the borrower to have them resume loan payments. Yes, returns can be very good if everything goes well. Thorough due dilligence with at least 2 exit strategies are critical to the process.

Super early bird registration is $1495. Sounds expensive but a good education isn't cheap. @Bob Malecki may I ask how long you have worked in the space? I definitely want to learn more and start a new facet of investing. I do love mortgage notes! No tenants. No property taxes. No evictions.

That price is the difference between networking with experienced note buyers vs eager newbies (who usually never end up doing anything).
I'm not sure if I will go yet but I'll check it out when they announce speakers etc.
