I’m trying to pay a guy in Pakistan for work. He did it for me on the computer. I paid him two weeks ago $100. And now the website that gives him money has given me 12 stages of security and given me a big hassle. Is there an easy way to pay guys for work they do that lives in Pakistan.

If you’re going to hire people in Pakistan regularly, I’d make the payment system part of the operating setup instead of trying to solve each transfer individually.

For project-based work, Upwork or PeoplePerHour are usually the easiest route. Yes, they take a percentage, but in exchange they handle a lot of the ugly operational layer: payment processing, currency conversion, escrow/milestones, contractor records, and the mechanics of getting the worker paid. That fee is often worth it just to remove the friction.

One distinction: they don’t magically eliminate every tax or worker-classification obligation—you still need to make sure your own setup is compliant—but they make managing overseas contractors dramatically cleaner than sending money ad hoc.

If you’re going to work with the same person long-term, there are other structures worth looking at too.

I work with overseas teams pretty regularly, so if you’re trying to figure out not just how to pay someone, but how to structure outsourcing so the work actually gets delivered and managed properly, feel free to reach out. I visited Pakistan about a year ago(I am Pakistani) and there are a lot of hard working people within the country.

It was also the only country that I visited that while I was there, Chase disabled my ability to send Zelle payments while in the country(not necessarily that I was going to send it to someone in Pakistan). It just gives me a sense that sending money to/from the country is not the easiest, unfortunately.

If it is a hassle, I agree with what is posted above to make the payment using apps like upwork, etc.

Have you tried 'upwork'? Their portal works pretty good.
--1 bit of advice, complete one phone call ahead of hiring the agent and make sure there's good communication.
