No real job yet but want to start flipping/BRRRR. Whats the best path to start?

Hey everyone,

I’m in a bit of a transition period and could use some guidance from people who’ve been where I’m at.

Right now, I only have a very part-time job. it’s inconsistent and barely covering my expenses. I need to find something more stable, but ideally I want that next job to help me move toward real estate investing.

I’ve been interested in investing for a while but never took the plunge. My parents built a decent rental portfolio over the years, but they did it completely on their own years ago, so I don’t have any existing contacts, mentors, or network to lean on.

If you were in my shoes (limited income, basic business knowledge, and good with your hands) what kind of full-time job would you go after to learn the ropes and move closer to doing flips or BRRRRs?

I’m not afraid of hard work or getting dirty. I’d love to eventually do most of the rehab myself and understand the process from the ground up.

Any advice or specific roles (real estate, property management, construction, trades, etc.) that would build the right foundation would be really appreciated.

Thanks in advance!
