Rookie Investor in Colorado Springs — Looking to Connect + Learn About Raising Capita
Hi BP Community,
I’m a newer investor in the Colorado Springs area and I’m looking to connect with local investors who are experienced with BRRRR, small multifamily, or raising capital for early deals. I am preparing to retire from the Military in 2026. I’m currently exploring a few potential funding options and trying to figure out the smartest path forward as I get started.
My goals right now are to learn what works here locally, build relationships with other investors, and get real-world insight into how others are approaching deal analysis, financing, and private capital in today’s market. If anyone is open to sharing advice, grabbing coffee, or meeting up at a local meetup, I’d really appreciate it.
I’d also love to connect with anyone actively doing BRRRR projects or investing in duplexes/quadplexes in the Springs. Hearing about your experiences (wins, mistakes, lender recommendations, contractors, etc.) would be super valuable.
Thanks in advance — looking forward to connecting with other Colorado Springs investors!

Hey Stephen, welcome to BiggerPockets! While I don't focus on Colorado, a lot of newer investors find the Midwest offers strong opportunities to start building cash-flowing portfolios with lower entry costs. Small multifamily and duplexes in college towns, growing cities, or stable rental markets can produce great returns, and you can often structure deals using BRRRR or conventional financing. It's a solid way to gain experience and generate cash flow early while learning the business
