Hi everyone, I’m planning to buy my first investment rental property this year, 2026. My strategy is long-term buy and hold. However, I feel stuck on a couple of steps: the deal analysis aspect and finding a suitable market to buy in. I live in Maui, Hawaii, which makes it a bit more challenging due to the high property prices. If you have any resources or suggestions that could help me in these areas, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you so much! As we say here in Hawaii, much mahalos! 🤙🏾🏝️😎

    Aloha Taylor,

We run a free Real Estate Investor meetup every month on Maui.  You should come out. No agendas, just networking and helping others learn. It's small and friendly and investors of every level join us. We host them in Kihei on the first Saturday of the month.  Again, they're completely free, and a good way to start a Saturday. I usually post something about them on our IG @OurFamilyInvests, or you can DM me and I'll send you details. We've got one coming up this weekend!  Would love to see you there.

    Aloha!
