Airbnb in Cleveland, Ohio
Hi guys. I'm looking to start an Airbnb business in the next 6 to 12 months in Cleveland Ohio, in or around the downtown area (possibly Ohio City). I'm a local but any information about the viability of this type of business in this area, picking the right location, where to find Airbnb friendly landlords, pitfalls to watch out for, and peak tourism season in the area would be much appreciated. I was originally hoping to purchase a duplex and rent it out next year, but I don't expect to have enough capital for a 20-25% down payment, I'm not looking to take on more than 80% of a property's cost in debt, and I don't have the skills or time to rehab a property. I thought this option would be a more cost and time friendly method to get my foot in the door of real estate.
