Combining TMS Numbers
New to the forum so forgive me if there is a better area to post this question. I'm looking at a portfolio of 5 townhomes being sold together under separate TMS numbers. They physically makeup 1 building. People combine land all the time but I'm wondering if this can be done with dwellings. Meaning take 5 separate unit TMS numbers making it 1, 5-unit multi-family. If so is there any benefit in doing this or would it be wiser to keep them separated? Just curious about refinancing in the future when rolling in fees on 5 separate units. Seems simpler to combine them if possible.
